Daniel Bass Accepts Two-Match Ban

10 May 2016

South Adelaide ruckman Daniel Bass has accepted a two-match ban for striking Norwood's Ed Smart during the Panthers 23-point win over the Redlegs on Saturday afternoon.

Bass was handed a three-match base sanction that was reduced to two games with an early guilty plea.

The SANFL Incident Review Panel deemed Bass' conduct was intentional and that he made high contact with Smart which was of medium impact.

The Panthers lead ruckman will now miss South's upcoming away clashes with Sturt and Port Adelaide and will next be available for selection in Round 10 versus North Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval.
