Introducing Community Initiative the Panthers Big Backyard

4 December 2015

South Adelaide Football Club is excited to introduce a new community initiative, the Panthers Big Backyard - Summer's Southern Home of Fun & Fitness.

On select nights this Summer, Hickinbotham Oval will be transforming into the biggest backyard in the Southern suburbs, with FREE entry for ALL AGES to come and try various sports and activities on the home turf of the mighty Panthers! The Club's vision is to bring families and friends of the greater Southern community together for a fun, engaging and healthy way to socialise and spend quality time together.

"We are so excited about hosting the Panthers Big Backyard and opening our Club to the entire community for a range of fun, family friendly activities, all concentrating on health and wellbeing, lifestyle and fitness," said South Adelaide Football Club CEO, Wayne Peters.

"Most of all we want families and communities to be able to go somewhere safe and welcoming.

"We want to be a hub of the community to help inspire and achieve positive social engagement.

"Our Visionary, Can-Do and United approach will be on show for all to benefit from."

Families, friends, work colleagues and social groups can gather any time between 6pm and 8pm on selected Friday nights in December, January and February to join in on any of the activities running on the oval.

So come and join us for an evening filled with fun and fitness!
