The Under-18s strung together four quarters of strong football against West Adelaide to run out 69-point winners at Hickinbotham Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The team was keen to make amends from our previous narrow loss to West Adelaide in Round Six, where a poor last quarter cost us the game.

Our focus this week was our pressure on the opposition, our ability to the run the ball, and to link together chains of disposals.

A good first quarter saw us lead by four goals at the first break. West Adelaide were never in the picture from then on and we ran out eventual winners by 69 points.

Our run and spread from half back was excellent this week and caused some problems for the opposition.

Henry Bruce recorded a game-high 35 disposals, showing his ability to find the ball and to have an impact on the game and was named our best on ground.

Meanwhile, Joseph Tyllis, Jackson Daniels, Tyler Davies, Job Colwell and Sam Lawrie were also strong performers.

Goal scoring was spread across nine players with Coby Helyar, Liam Fitt and Captain Jesse Fitzgerald all scoring three goals each.
