2024 List Changes

The South Adelaide Football Club advises that Mitch O’Neill, Zach Sproule and Ely Smith will not return to the Panthers for 2024.

At the conclusion of the season Mitch O’Neill informed the Club of his intention to explore opportunities with other State League Clubs. 

Zach Sproule informed the Club that he no longer had the drive to play at SANFL level.

Following numerous recent surgeries on his hand Ely Smith will retire from football based on medical advice.

South Adelaide General Manager of Football Brent Reilly said coming off a poor season we need everyone to be 100 per cent on board. 

“The SANFL is an unrelenting competition which requires significant investment from all involved."

“We are buoyed by the U18 Premiership and Reserves making finals. We have some strong underage talent coming through and need to build a team for a sustained period of success."

“Nonetheless we thank Mitch, Zach and Ely for their involvement at South Adelaide and wish them all the best for the future.”
