Brede Seccull returns to Melbourne

27 November 2017

South Adelaide can confirm that former Club Champion, Brede Seccull will be returning to Melbourne in 2018.

Recruited from Collingwood VFL in 2013, Seccull completed a Law degree at Flinders University during his time with South Adelaide and will be returning to Melbourne for work.

Speaking to safc.com.au, the big-bodied midfield said he enjoyed his time with the Panthers and will miss the relationships he has forged in Noarlunga.

"To move interstate at 18 years of age was tough, but from the moment I got to the club I was made to feel incredibly welcome," said Seccull.

"I loved every minute of my time here and that's what makes departing incredibly difficult.

"There are many people I wish to thank who have helped me throughout my time at South. To the supporters of the club, thank you for your on going support it is greatly appreciated. To the staff and volunteers, the club would not survive without your dedication.

"I would also like to thank Neill Sharpe for getting me over to the club five years ago. To Brad Gotch and Garry Hocking thank you for all you taught me and your on going friendship.

"Finally I'm grateful for the life long friends I have made amongst the playing group. I have been fortunate to play with some special players and even better characters during my time here and I hope that as a group they achieve the ultimate success."

South Adelaide thank Brede for his decication and leadership over the past five seasons and wish him well as ventures into professional life.
