South Adelaide Confirms Three List Changes

The South Adelaide Football Club has confirmed that Damon Freitag will not be at Magain Stadium in 2026.

Freitag, who has been a consistent contributor since making his league debut in Round 1, 2021, has played 65 senior games and kicked 73 goals. Hailing from Kangaroo Island, the key forward has informed the club that he will be pursuing new opportunities interstate next year. 

Senior Coach Jarrad Wright said Freitag had been a valuable member of the senior squad for the past five seasons.

"Damo has given it his all and played some really good football over the last five seasons.  We are sorry to see him go but wish him all the best and thank him for his commitment to the Panthers."

In addition, two other Panthers will not return in 2026.
Aaron Douglass, who has played six league games since his debut in Round 11, 2023, and Sam Hindes, who has featured in 11 matches since debuting in Round 9, 2024, will also move on from the club.

General Manager of Football, Brent Reilly, thanked the departing players for their contribution and commitment.

"We would like to thank Aaron and Sam for the effort, dedication and professionalism they have shown during their time at the club. We wish them both every success for the future and look forward to seeing what they achieve next."
