North Adelaide End Panthers Season at Home
With finals implications on the line for both sides, the Roosters produced a clinical performance to defeat South Adelaide by 40 points at Magain Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It was a forgettable day for the Panthers, with the loss officially ruling them out of top four contention with one round left to play.
Heavy wind blew across the ground as the visitors gained an early advantage, kicking the first two goals.
The Panthers were let down by their ball use by hand and foot, while spilled marks repeatedly halted their progress out of the defensive half.
Esther Schirmer and Tiff King stood tall in defence, working hard to repel repeated forward entries.
The second quarter was much of the same, though the Roosters found it harder to score moving against the breeze.

Taya Maxwell, also playing her first game in twelve months after recovering from injury, looked lively early in the final term but couldn’t convert her chances.
A disappointing performance ended without a goal to show on the scoreboard in the last home game of the season.
Emma Charlton led all comers with 28 disposals, eight tackles and nine clearances.
Soriah Moon provided plenty of quality service with 16 disposals, nine clearances and 41 hitouts.
Schirmer ground out 14 disposals, six tackles and three rebound 50s cramped in the back half.
After reaching the milestone of 50 SANFLW League games, Doreena Hansen was chaired off the field as both teams lined up to recognise the achievement in a moment of shared respect.
