SAFC Pathway Clubs of the Year
South Adelaide congratulates Zone Clubs for pathway excellence
The South Adelaide Football Club has recognised three Zone Clubs for their outstanding commitment to developing young footballers, with each club receiving $1,000 worth of Sherrin footballs to support their football programs.
The South Adelaide Pathway Club of the Year is awarded to one club in each of the Panthers’ three Zone Leagues, the Southern Football League, Great Southern Football League and Kangaroo Island Football League, based on the total number of games provided across Senior Men’s and Women’s, Under 18s and Under 16s.
The Southern Football League winner Port Noarlunga, the 2025 recipient and 2024 runner up, finished just ahead of Happy Valley.
The Great Southern Football League winner Willunga retained the title, finishing ahead of McLaren Districts.
The Kangaroo Island Football League winner Wisanger narrowly edged out Kingscote.
South Adelaide General Manager of Football Brent Reilly thanks all of SAFC zone clubs and leagues for their continued support.
“Supporting grassroots football and creating more opportunities for young players is central to our pathway vision.” said Reilly.
“We know all our zone Clubs are doing their best to provide opportunities for young footballers, but it’s great that we can provide this extra little acknowledgment.”
South Adelaide is also holding a coaching seminar at Victor Harbour Football Club on Tuesday December 9 at 6:00 pm
