The South Adelaide Football Club announce new partnership with the South Adelaide Volleyball Club.

The South Adelaide Football Club is excited to announce that it has formed a partnership with the South Adelaide Volleyball Club which will see the SAVC reborn in the famous blue and white.

The South Adelaide Volleyball Club was formed in 1987 via the merger of Eastwood Men's Volleyball Club and the Estonia Volleyball Club Women's team.

Over the years the Club has produced many players that have continued their careers at a national level in both Indoor and Beach Volleyball.

As of 2022, SAVC have relocated their training venue to Reynella East College’s new Wayikuu Gym. This gym is also where SAVL and SAVL Junior Division will be held on Friday nights and all day Saturday during the winter season.

"This is an exciting new chapter for the South Adelaide Football Club and provides the opportunity for us to further enhance our community base at Flinders University Stadium," said South Adelaide CEO Neill Sharpe.

"Our partnerships with the South Adelaide Netball Club and SAVC, will see us take another step to establish South Adelaide as the sporting hub for the southern community."

"We look forward to working with the committee and welcoming everyone from the South Adelaide Volleyball Club."

"We are looking forward to utilising the partnership to develop the club professionally, further our reach and in turn make volleyball more visible across the southern region.

"The opportunity to be a part of building a multi-sport community that supports participation across all ages and genders is very exciting, and we can’t wait to further explore the numerous possibilities this will provide those in the South."

"In particular, we see the coming together of these organisations giving our community youth the chance to find their passion through exposure to multiple sports."

"With alignment in branding and a focus on shared community values we look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on Southern Adelaide kids and teens."

"South Adelaide Volleyball Club is ready for a future that not only develops our sport but helps grow a strong sporting presence in the community.”

Over the coming months the South Adelaide Volleyball Club brand with be further aligned to the South Adelaide Football Club brand and will join the South Adelaide Netball Club in the South Adelaide family.
