Tonia Fielke to Miss Remainder of SANFLW Season

13 February 2018

South Adelaide midfielder Tonia Fielke will miss the remainder of the SANFL Statewide Super Women's League season after tearing her ACL.

Fielke suffered the injury to her right knee in the opening minutes of the Panthers Round 2 clash with Sturt at Hickinbotham Oval.

"Tonia came off the field early in the piece against Sturt and scans on Monday revealed a full tear of her ACL," said Women's Football Operations Manager, Jonathon Parker.

"It is a devastating blow for Fielkes, who has shown rapid improvement during the preseason and was one of our better performers in Round 1.

"We know Tonia will attack her rehab with the same dedication and determination that put her in a position to represent the Panthers.

"The club wish Tonia the best in her recovery and look forward to her continuing to provide strong leadership to our girls even from the sidelines."
