Brett Hudson to Lead the Panthers Under-18 Boys
The South Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Brett Hudson as the Panthers’ Under-18 Boys Head Coach for the 2026 season.
Hudson has been a key figure in the Panthers Talent Pathway since 2017.
After taking over from Clay Sampson as Under-16s Head Coach in 2020, he guided the side through five seasons, highlighted by the 2021 Premiership.
He has also contributed across the Under-18 program in a range of roles, including as a runner and beach coach.
Hudson said he was thrilled to step into the new position.
“I’m really excited to get stuck in as we kick off pre-season,” Hudson said.
“I’ve been extremely fortunate to learn from Mark Clayton over the past few years, and I’m looking forward to continuing the development of a talented group of young men who will hopefully go on to play many years of high-level footy.”
Before joining South Adelaide, Hudson held various roles at Reynella, was part of the SANFL Futures Program in 2021, and served as a State Under-16 Assistant Coach from 2017 to 2025.
Outgoing Under-18 Coach and Talent Manager Mark Clayton said he was delighted to see Hudson take the reins.
“I’m very pleased with Brett’s appointment. He’s a fantastic coach and will help our talented group continue to develop and thrive.”
“Our Under-18 side is in great hands.”
The South Adelaide Football Club congratulates Brett Hudson on his appointment and will confirm the new Talent Manager in the coming week.
