Vale – Craig Mitchell

South Adelaide Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former club physiotherapist Craig Mitchell.

Craig was a significant part of the Panthers during the 1970s and 1980s. Club President and former Captain Geoff Baynes recalls:

“Craig was our physio right through the Bunton era. Players used to congregate at his practice on Unley Road, and a few would sleep there on the tables on Friday afternoons as part of their relaxation before the weekend’s game.”

“He was highly regarded and maintained a great connection with the players long after his practising days.”

Craig was also highly regarded at West Adelaide Football Club, where he had a long association with the Bloods.

The Club extends its condolences to the Mitchell family, and to all who knew him.
