Welcome Back: Noah Howes
Howes Returns Home to the Panthers for 2027
The South Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce the return of Panthers junior Noah Howes, who will pull on the blue and white once again for the 2027 Hostplus SANFL League season.
Howes returns to Magain Stadium following a stint with Collingwood, where he was selected with pick 15 in the 2025 AFL Midseason Draft.
During his time with the Magpies, Howes played two AFL games in 2026, while also making 22 VFL appearances across the 2025 and 2026 seasons, kicking 18 goals.
Originally recruited from South Adelaide as a key forward, Howes further developed his versatility during his time at Collingwood, gaining experience in defence at AFL level.
With valuable experience in the AFL system under his belt, Howes is looking forward to returning to familiar surroundings and reuniting with his former teammates.
“Super excited to be back at the Panthers after a few years away.” Howes said.
“Pumped to be back playing with some mates and keen to be playing under Monty."
“Also excited to see what Monty and us boys can bring in 2027 because I feel we have a lot of potential to go far.”
South Adelaide General Manager of Football Brent Reilly said Howes' return was an exciting addition to the Panthers' playing group ahead of the 2027 season.
“We're thrilled to welcome Noah back to South Adelaide. He's a homegrown talent who has spent time in an AFL environment, and to have him return to the club where his football journey began is a great result for everyone involved.” Reilly said.
“Noah gives us another strong option in attack with his size, athleticism and ability to provide a target inside 50."
“His time at Collingwood has also allowed him to develop other areas of his game, particularly through his exposure to playing in defence, which adds another dimension to what he can bring to our side."
“It's always pleasing to see our juniors return to the club, particularly when they're excited about the direction we're heading and want to be part of what we're building in 2027.”
Howes' return will provide South Adelaide with another important marking presence in attack or down back, adding further depth and firepower to the Panthers' ahead of the 2027 campaign.
The South Adelaide Football Club looks forward to welcoming Noah and his partner back to Magain Stadium in 2027.
