Welcome Home Will Verrall
South Adelaide Welcomes Home Will Verrall
The South Adelaide Football Club is delighted to welcome the return of Will Verrall to Magain Stadium for the 2026 Hostplus SANFL League season.
Standing at 199cm, the talented ruckman was drafted by Melbourne with pick 12 in the 2022 Rookie Draft.
During his time with the Casey Demons, he played 45 VFL games between 2023 and 2025, averaging 17 hit-outs and steadily developing his craft at state-league level.
Returning to the club he was originally drafted from, Verrall said he was eager to reunite with familiar faces and embrace the opportunities ahead.
"I'm super excited. I think we got a, great group of young talent, and I think we can be really competitive this year and play some finals footy" said Verrall.
"I've worked a lot of my competitiveness and professionalism, and I think that's something that I can bring back to the Panthers."
"I've got a lot of connections that I've already previously had with boys and i'm super keen to meet all the new boys. I think there's a good culture building."
Senior Coach Jarrad Wright echoed the enthusiasm, expressing his confidence in Verrall’s impact on the side.
"It’s great to have Will back at the club." said Wright.
"His ruck craft, competitiveness and ability to provide a marking option forward of the ball will significantly strengthen our side. He also returns with strong relationships from his junior pathway, which will only enhance the cohesion of our group.”
The South Adelaide Football Club proudly welcomes back Will Verrall and his family and looks forward to seeing him represent the Panthers throughout the 2026 season.
