South Adelaide Welcomes Jake Gasper

The South Adelaide Football Club is delighted to welcome Jake Gasper from the Central District Football Club for the 2026 Hostplus SANFL League season.

The 25 year old originally from Melbourne played 33 VFL games for Port Melbourne, kicking 52 goals before moving to Central District in 2024.

The crafty medium forward has a habit of finding the big sticks, something that was evident early in his draft year when he played for the Oakleigh Chargers, winning the goal kicking in the Talent League in 2018.

Gasper said he is excited to join the Panthers and is looking forward to 2026.

"You can feel the connection and standards in this group straight away." Gasper said.

"I’m here to earn my spot, build strong bonds and do everything I can to help the team win."

Senior coach Jarrad Wright is excited to welcome the experience of Gasper to the squad.

"An experienced and proven goal kicker across both the VFL and SANFL competitions, Jake brings strong forward craft and a real ability to impact the scoreboard." Wright said.

"With the pressure our small forwards already apply, his offensive nous and finishing will add another layer to our front half and help lift our scoring capacity."
