Former Giant Zach Sproule joins the Panthers.

The Panthers are delighted to welcome 198cm Key Forward Zach Sproule to Noarlunga for the 2023 Hostplus SANFL League Season. 

The GWS Academy product from Albury in NSW was taken as a Category B rookie in the 2016 draft by the Giants. 

It wouldn't be until 2019 that Sproule would earn his AFL opportunity when he debuted in round 22 against the Western Bulldogs.

In 2021 he broke through for 11 goals in 10 games, including two crucial goals in GWS' elimination final win over the Swans.

When asked about why Sproule choose South Adelaide, he said that the clubs ambitions and bright future were key factors. 

"I’m just really keen to start something different, meet the group, and put my best foot forward to play good footy." Said Zach Sproule 

"The forward line here looks great so I’m looking forward to just getting to work with them and provide a good target for my team mates up the ground."

"After meeting with Jarrad and Brent and talking to them about what the club’s ambitions are, and where they want to get to. I was so keen to jump on board. It’s a great list and I think the clubs future is very bright."

Sproule also brings plenty of aggression having averaged 3 tackles a game in 2022 placing him in the elite category. 

"Zach is a very agile key forward with good craft and will give us a much needed option in the forward 50" said Senior Coach Jarrad Wright.

He is also an aspiring Real Estate Agent and will take up an employment opportunity with club partner Magain Real Estate.
