BETTA Team Selection: Round 19 vs Eagles

18 August 2022

The Panthers could welcome another two debutants to face the Eagles.

Coming off another close game against the Magpies on Sunday, this time going the right way, the Panthers will look to finish the season on another positive note when they face the Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers will be looking to spoil the Eagles final chances, with the gold, green and blue needing to win, and needing a Sturt loss plus percentage to make the five.

Another two players could make their debut, which would take the total number of debutants to 24, equalling the 1988 total.

Big man and Reserves spiritual leader Ollie Megins is set to line up for his first taste of Hostplus SANFL League action.

Megins has had a solid year in the Reserves and his persistence and hard work over the last two seasons will be rewarded.

Jacob Collins is also a chance to make his Hostplus SANFL League debut as well after strong performances in the Reserves over the last few weeks.

Matthew Broadbent comes back into the side after the birth of his sons Hugo and Tommy.

Raging Bull Liam Fitt also returns having missed last week with Health and Safety Protocols.

Nic Kraemer and Tate Lovering round out the additions to the extended squad.

There will also be two milestones on Saturday with Vice Captain Jake Summerton set to join the SANFL's 100 club, and quiet achiever Reece Milsom will also play his 50th league match.

Meanwhile for the Reserves, they will also look to finish the year with a strong showing against the Eagles.

Last time they met was in the mud pit that was Woodville Oval, going down by 5 points.

For the final time in 2022, all the action kicks off with the Reserves at 11:20 am followed by League at 2:05 pm.

You can stay up to date via the South Adelaide social media channels or via the SANFL mobile app.

Don't miss a moment of the action with SAFC Radio Presented by Loftus. You can tune in at the ground on 88.3 FM or online here

The game will also be broadcast Live and Free on Channel 7 and 7Plus
