With the 2026 Hostplus SANFL season finally underway, the Panthers face the Eagles this Saturday as they begin their 150th year campaign.

After a one win, one loss trial series, there have been plenty of encouraging signs early, with the Panthers looking to take the next step in 2026.

The Panthers are set to unveil five new faces to start the season. Recruits Arie Schoenmaker, Seamus Mitchell, Riley Baldi and Harley Sparks are all expected to line up for their first game on Saturday afternoon.

They will be joined by another fresh face, with Jesse Nye earning his League debut. The Willunga product captained the Panthers Under-18 side in 2025, and his speed and ball use will be a handy addition.

In the Reserves, there is also a fresh start under new coach, Jack Maher as they take on the Eagles on Saturday morning.

All the action begins from 11:30am on Saturday, followed by the League match at the traditional time of 2:10pm at Magain Stadium.

The fun returns in 2026, with the Betta Seaford Family Zone and the ever popular Katch Kingston at three quarter time of the SANFL game, presented by Vilis.
