BETTA Team Selection: SANFL Round 11 v Port Adelaide

26 June 2025

Back at Magain Stadium this Saturday, it's a special one, as the South Adelaide Football Club is proud to take part in this year's Sammy D Violence Prevention Round, all thanks to the wonderful team at the Sammy D Foundation.

By wearing our blue armbands, we’re showing our support for the Sammy D Foundation and sending a clear message that violence has no place in our clubs, our communities, or our lives. Every coach, every supporter has a role to play in creating safer spaces for our mates, our kids, and the next generation coming through our club.

Remember to share your photos and stories from the round. Tag @sammydfoundation and use #VPround so we can help spread the message far and wide as we show how powerful sport can be when we come together for a cause.

As the Panthers prepare to face the Magpies, the South outfit will be without a few players, with Jaiden Magor and Jay Chapman both sidelined due to knee injuries sustained against the Redlegs. While Eamon Wilkinson and Corey Grocock will play in the Reserves this week.

On a positive note, South fans are in for a double debut this weekend, as Tommy Barrett (Happy Valley), the older brother of Benny Barrett and Tye McManus (Kalangadoo), step up to the League side.

Following a brilliant win at the Parade, the top of the table Reserves will aim to keep the Roosters on the back foot this Saturday, as they too return to the home turf.

They'll hit the ground running, with the first bounce scheduled for 10:00am, followed by the League side at 1:10pm.

There's plenty in store for the kids this Saturday at Magain Stadium! Don't miss out on the action-packed BETTA Seaford Family Zone with a jumping castle and inflatable basketball on the agenda. Plus, make sure you're ready to run and catch the ever-speedy Kingston at 3qtr time for your chance to win some awesome goodies thanks to Villi's!
