A few feathers were ruffled last weekend with wins over both the Magpies and the Roosters! It was a four-quarter arm wrestle for the League boys, while the Reserves asserted their dominance early, holding North to just two majors for the entire match.

Another action packed Saturday awaits this weekend, as South Adelaide will host Central District in their annual battle for the Mayor's Cup, now in its 22nd year.

Established in 2004, the Mayor’s Cup celebrates the shared spirit, community pride and parallels between South Adelaide and Central District. Representing the City of Onkaparinga and the City of Playford and their support of their SANFL clubs, respectively.

Following the match, the Mayor of Onkaparinga, Moira Were AM, together with South Adelaide Co-Captains Jake Summerton and Sam Skinner, or the Mayor of Playford, Glenn Docherty, along with Central District Captain Kyle Presbury and Vice Captain Aiden Grace, will receive the Mayor's Cup on behalf of their communities.

In other good news, Kyle Marshall has committed to playing for South Adelaide for the remainder of the season. The Club looks forward to seeing the impact he’ll make as he joins the extended lineup this week alongside Phoenix Hargrave, Callum McCarthy and Dayne McGary (Brighton), who could potentially make his debut. While Ben Ashley-Cooper will play in the Reserves this Saturday.

Can the Panthers put the historically dominant Dogs to the test and take back the cup? Find out this Saturday during the final triple header of the season! The action kicks off with the SANFLW League match at 9:50AM, followed by the Reserves at 11:50AM, with the League side rounding out the day at 2:30PM.
