BETTA Team Selection: Round 13 SANFL v Port Adelaide
After a disappointing performance against the Redlegs on Sunday, the Panthers will need to move on quickly as they prepare to face the Magpies at Alberton Oval on Saturday afternoon.
It has been a significant week for the club, with Senior Coach Jarrad Wright set to coach his 157th and final game after informing the club he has resigned from the role, effective after this weekend.
Across his tenure, Wright has recorded a 4 and 3 record at Alberton, which stands as one of the strongest coaching records for the Panthers at the venue. He will be looking to add one more win and finish on a high.
Wright spoke to Channel 7’s John Casey and FIVEaa yesterday, which can be seen below.
While Wright will coach his final game, the Panthers will also welcome a first gamer, with Elliot Duffield from Strathalbyn set to make his League debut.
There are two changes to the side, with Lachy Scott coming out and Oli Northam set to miss with a calf injury.
Their absence opens the door for Emmanuel Ajang, Tom Gillett, Kyle Marshall and Jesse Nye, who all come into the extended squad.
Meanwhile, the Reserves will take on Centrals at Elizabeth on Saturday morning and will be looking to bounce back after back to back losses.
The action begins with the Reserves at 10:30am at X Convenience Oval, before the League match gets underway at 2:10pm at Alberton Oval.
