BETTA Team Selection: Round 18 SANFL v North Adelaide
After a tough trip to Unley last weekend, the Panthers remain on the road as they prepare to face the Roosters at Revo Fitness Oval on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers have no forced changes, with Arlo Draper returning to the extended squad following his recovery from a calf complaint. He will be joined by Jesse Nye.
There will also be another League debut this weekend, with Archie Van Dyk from Port Noarlunga earning his opportunity.
Van Dyk returned to the Under-18s in Round 15 against Glenelg, producing an outstanding performance that earned him the AAMI Talent League MVP for the round. He collected 36 disposals, 15 clearances and kicked a goal.
He backed that up last weekend with a season high 37 disposals and 10 marks, doing enough to earn his first League appearance.
Van Dyk was also the recipient of the 2025 San Remo Scholarship. Through the generous support of San Remo, the scholarship provides $5000 to a talented young footballer to assist with their football journey.

Following last weekend's loss, the equation is clear for the Panthers. They must win their remaining two matches against the Roosters this weekend and West Adelaide next weekend to keep their finals hopes alive.
They will also need other results to fall their way, with both Adelaide and West Adelaide needing to lose their remaining matches. A West Adelaide win against Glenelg this weekend would end the Panthers' finals hopes.
Meanwhile, the Reserves have secured a double chance despite a heartbreaking loss last weekend, meaning they cannot finish lower than third.
There is still an opportunity to climb into second position and potentially earn a home final. The Panthers need to win their remaining two matches, while Norwood would need to lose both of theirs.
Fellow Panthers talent pathway product Cain Florance from Kingscote will make his Reserves debut after collecting 20 disposals and kicking a goal in the Under-18s last weekend.
Florance was also awarded the 2024 Marc Makrid Scholarship. Thanks to the incredible support of Marc, the scholarship assists talented young footballers as they continue their football journey.
The Reserves get the day underway at 11.30am on Saturday, followed by the League match at 2.10pm.
Both matches will be streamed live and on demand through SANFL Now. Use the code SAFCFAN2026 at checkout to receive 10 per cent off.
