Riding the momentum of a strong win over the Eagles, the Panthers’ League side heads into their final home-and-away match of the season this weekend, eager to finish on a high and send off Co-Skipper Jake Summerton in style.

After convincingly getting the job done last week, the Panthers are set to name a settled lineup. The only forced change is debutant Tye Gander, who will miss the next three games following suspension for a bump on the Eagles Joey Sinor.

Added to the extended squad are Jacob Collins, Callum McCarty and Will Splann, along with Lachlan Gill (Strathfieldsay), who is in the mix to make his League debut.

Another highlight this weekend will be livewire forward Eamon Wilkinson bringing up his 100th Hostplus SANFL League game.

Debuting back in Round 16, 2019 against Centrals, Wilkinson has since cemented himself as a key part of the Panthers’ forward line, producing countless highlights across his first 99 matches.

The Meadows product has kicked 111 goals at a solid 53% accuracy, including a career-best 25 goals during the Covid-shortened 2020 season.

Wilkinson caught up with SANFL’s Zac Milbank this week to reflect on his journey to the milestone.

Meanwhile, the Reserves continue to make their mark, backing up with a 31-point victory last weekend to lock in a top-two finish. A win this week, coupled with a Glenelg loss, would see them claim the minor premiership and a valuable week off.

It’s back to the regular schedule this round, with the Reserves kicking off at 11:30AM, followed by the League side at 2:10PM.
