BETTA Team Selection: Round 13 SANFLW v North

After falling to the Eagles by the narrowest of margins last week, the Panthers return to Magain Stadium for the final time in 2026 for a crucial clash with the Roosters.

The equation is simple. The Panthers must win to keep their season alive, while a loss will end their finals hopes.

A win would keep the Panthers in contention, with North Adelaide’s result next week determining whether the final round match against West Adelaide will have any bearing on their finals chances.

The Panthers will welcome several important additions to the side, including two time Margaret Nyland Medallist Soriah Moon.

Shae Archbold is also set to return after recovering from the ACL injury she suffered in last year’s Preliminary Final, while Taya Maxwell will make her comeback after spending more than 12 months sidelined with several injuries.

Tabi Prosser returns to the extended squad after recovering from appendix surgery, while Lily Dunstall-Bruce has also been named among the inclusions.

Rounding out the returning players is Doreena Hansen, who will play her 50th Hostplus SANFLW League match, fittingly against her former club, North Adelaide.

Hansen was a member of North Adelaide’s 2022 premiership side before joining the Panthers in 2024 and playing in the club’s consecutive premierships in 2024 and 2025.

As a member of the Pinktails Program, Hansen also designed the club’s First Nations guernsey, which was worn in 2025 and 2026. The design draws on the strong connection between the Panthers and the Pinktails.

In unfortunate news, scans have confirmed that Mel Anderson ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament after suffering a knee injury on Saturday. She will miss the remainder of the 2026 season and part of 2027.

The action begins at 12.00 pm at Magain Stadium on Sunday, with free entry for all spectators.
