BETTA Team Selection: Round 6 SANFLW v Eagles
Following a dominant display against the Bloods last week, the Panthers face their biggest test of the season when they take on the Eagles in a highly anticipated Grand Final rematch.
Due to the flooding of West Adelaide’s change rooms, the match has been moved to Magain Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers could welcome back a couple of big names, with former skipper Jordann Rugless named in the extended squad alongside dual Margaret Nyland Medallist Nikki Nield.
Rugless sat out the back half of 2025 after starting a family, while Nield, who also missed the 2025 season after starting a family, has come out of retirement.
Nield retired at the end of the 2024 season after sustaining a concussion in the Grand Final. While her decision to retire was also influenced by her plans to start a family, Nield has since been cleared to return to play by all necessary medical authorities.
Also coming into the extended squad is Caitlin Couch, who has been unavailable for the past couple of games due to work.
The action gets underway on Saturday afternoon, with the first bounce at midday.
