BETTA Teams Selection: Round 14 v Adelaide

8 July 2021

The Panthers make four changes to face the Crows on Saturday.

Donning the 2021 Indigenous guernsey designed by Flinders University Student Mya Damon in celebration of NAIDOC Week, the Panthers will make four changes to the squad that will face the Crows on Saturday afternoon.

Hard-nosed Anthony Biemans will make his long-awaited return, having been sidelined since round 4.

Luke Bogle comes into the squad after having 42 disposals in the Reserves win over the Eagles last week.

Bailey Griffiths and Danny Juckers round out the additions to the squad.

Speedy Mitch O'Neill will miss a few weeks after he suffered a Hamstring strain against the Eagles.

Saturday also marks Liam Fitt's 50th SANFL StateWide Super League match.

Having made his debut in Round 4 2018 against West Adelaide, the Panthers junior has made his mark as a constant member of the Panthers forward line.

Fitt has had some spectacular moments such as a big hanger taken against the Crows in 2019 as well as this Channel 7 goal of the Year contender, also against the Crows in round one.

Meanwhile for the Reserves, they banked their third win of 2021 with big win over the highly fancied Eagles.

More importantly this keeps the Reserves in touch with the top four, sitting only two games behind.

In more good news on the injury front, Tyson Brown will make a return having recovered from his ankle issue.

Under-18 Tom Barrett will come up for Reserves duties having impressed at Under-18 level.

The League side will make the trip down to Victor Harbor as part of the Think! Road Safety SA Country Championships.

The last time they hit the road for a SANFL league match within the South Adelaide zone was in 2017, also against the Crows at Encounter Bay.

All the action kicks off on Saturday morning with the Reserves taking on Norwood at Flinders University Stadium at 10:15am, followed by the Under-18s at 12:45pm then the League at 2:30pm at Victor Harbor Oval.
