South Adelaide's Under-18s fell to their second defeat of the season following an 11.8 (74) to 13.8 (86) loss to West Adelaide at City Mazda Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately the Under-18s were unable to play the style of football we would have liked in Saturday's match against West Adelaide at Richmond.
Beaten too many times around the ground and with a number of skill errors, especially in the first half, the boys struggled to gain any real control over the game.
Despite hitting the front in the third quarter kicking with a strong breeze we couldn't maintain any ascendancy.
In the last quarter we allowed West a few easy shots on goal and they eventually got on top of us by two goals.
It was a disappointing result, which highlighted a number of areas that we need to improve on.
Nick Steele was our best, working very hard as a strong forward and kicking four goals.
