South Adelaide's Under-18s came back to reality with a thump on Saturday, surffering a 76-point loss against a finals bound Norwood team in our last home game for the year.

It was a disappointing day after a great game the week before.

Our lads were competitive in the midfield and managed to come out in front in clearances and inside 50s, but were well beaten in our back half.

Norwood were able to score far too easily when the ball go into their forward 50. Their tall forwards were a handful for our tall backs.

At the other end, our tall forwards were well beaten by their opponents and unable to stick marks to give us more shots at goal to reward the work done up the oval by backs and mids.

In summary, our Mids broke even while our forwards and backs were beaten by their opponents.

Our best player was Henry Bruce, who recorded 27 touches (18 contested) and nine clearances. Brucey was ably assisted in the middle by Joseph Tyllis (26 disposals, eight tackles and six clearances) and Under-16s Captain Tate Coleman (20 possessions and eight marks).

This week we have our final game for season 2016 against West Adelaide at City Mazda Oval. We will do our very best to ensure the season finished on a high.
