A tough day at the office: The South Adelaide Reserves fell to a 96-point defeat against the ladder-leading Tigers at ACH Group Stadium on Saturday.

The bottom-placed and injury-plagued Panthers were no match for the ladder-leading Tigers, with the final score reading a dismal 4.7 (31) to 19.13 (127).

Continuing to improve since returning from injury was Tyson Brown, who finished with 17 touches, 4 tackles and a goal. Having to defend against 55 inside 50s, Jack Elsworthy finished with 18 disposals and 7 tackles.

After going scoreless during the opening term, the Panthers found some relief during the second term with two goals from Damon Freitag. But even with these, the side entered halftime facing a 2.2 (14) to 6.5 (41) deficit.

The third term saw the Tigers well and truly break the game open as, with the wind at their backs, they registered seven unanswered goals.

The final quarter was the Panthers term to use the breeze, and both Brown and Lachlan Williams got on the board with their first majors.

But the Tigers continued to storm away, booting five unanswered goals to end the final term which handed the Panthers a sour 4.7 (31) to 19.13 (127) loss.

The South Adelaide Reserves will look to bounce back when they clash with West Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium on Saturday, 24 July, from 11:30am.
