The South Adelaide Reserves end their season with a 57-point loss against West Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium on Saturday.

A goalless opening term set the theme for what was a tough day for the Panthers as they went on to suffer a 4.9 (33) to 13.12 (90) loss.

Finishing with an equal game-high disposal count was Luke Bogle, who collected 30 touches, 8 tackles and 6 marks. While down back, Jack Elsworthy finished with 26 disposals and 7 marks.

Since a place in the finals was out of the question, the Panthers Round 19 clash against the fourth-placed Bloods was a tough end to the season.

The Panthers did not register their first major of the match until the opening minute of the second term when Daniel Sladojevic showed some great forward pressure before slotting South's first of the day.

Minutes later, Tate Coleman followed suit with an eye-catching half-volley goal, while Sam Gaden closed the quarter with his first major of the day.

After going goalless during the opening term, the Panthers, who finished with 4 goals for the game, registered 3 of them during the second quarter.

The third term was the Bloods' turn to have the breeze at their backs. But luckily, this time the Panthers were able to minimise the damage—yet they still entered the final break facing a 3.3 (21) to 10.10 (70) deficit.

Nine minutes played during the final term, Danny Juckers made an appearance up forward to break the deadlock of behinds with a goal, which would prove to be the Panthers' final major for the Reserves 2021 season.

The siren would sound to signal the 4.9 (33) to 13.12 (90) defeat.
